Mahashivratri

In Sanatan Dharma, the festival of Maha Shivratri is considered very special; it is a special day of worship of Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to the belief, people who worship Bholenath with a true heart get a true life partner and every wish is fulfilled. Shivratri is on a great union of Shiva and Shakti, according to the North Indian, Mahashivratri is organized on the Chaturdashi of the Krishna Paksha of Falgun month.  Holy festival of Mahashivratri this year is coming on Thursday, March 11. Now the question arises that where did the festival of Mahashivratri come from?

Some Puranas say that the creation started on this holy day of Mahashivratri. Some puranas also say that Lord Shiva and Parvati were married on this day because this marriage festival was celebrated by devotees on the day of Mahashivratri.

Now how to do this fast, what to do, on this day, first of all, Shiva devotees should take a Sankalp, you can start your puja and also keep your fast. Sankalp is taken Before starting the puja, that this puja is completed and my wishes are fulfilled, for this, a Sankalp is made in which you should take fruit, money, rice, suppose you do not have all these things available, then you should take it with the water in your hand and assume with your mind, that all these things are in your hands, then it is called Sankalp.

On the day of Shivratri, go to the temple and first offer water to the Shivling, then offer milk, curd, ghee and honey sugar to shivji,  Now offer milk on the Shivling and again add water and apply sandalwood tilak on the Shivling. And offering them fruit flowers and Shami leaves, burn a ghee lamp in front of the Shiva Lingam and chant the mantra of Shiva milk throughout the day. If possible, get Rudrabhishek done by a Brahmin. If you can’t get it done, worship Lord Shiva equally and keep chanting the Panchakshari mantra of Namah Shivaya. Everyone needs money in this world, to fulfill this need; one should do Rudrabhishek with sugarcane juice. Those who desire to have children should anoint the lingam of lord shiva with milk. If anyone has any problem related to health or waking up in the night and having nightmares, then he must definitely anoint Rudra of Lord Shiva with the water of Kush.

After doing Rudrabhishek, you should chant jagran kirtan recitation at night, because Shivratri only means that any work done on this night of Shiva is very fruitful.

One should do whatever is possible as a donation to a poor person, you should give money and should take blessings form him, whoever observes this fast gets wealth, knowledge, wisdom, longevity, and salvation.

By doing this, all your desires are fulfilled and Lord Shiva removes all your troubles.
