Story of Kamika Ekadashi.

There lived a brave Kshatriya in a village, one day due to some reason he got into a scuffle with his Brahmin and the Brahmin died. He wanted to do the rituals of the Brahmin killed with his own hands, but the pundits did not include him and said that if you are guilty of killing Brahma, then first you should repent and then we will eat you here. Hearing this, the Kshatriya asked what are the ways to get rid of this sin, then the Brahmins told that on the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of the month of Shravan, by fasting and worshiping Lord Sridhar with devotion, he would receive blessings from the Brahmin by giving him a Saddakshina. If you do, you will get freedom from this sin.Then after the method of worship told by the pundits, that night Lord Sridhar came in his dream and said that you have become free from your sin.

The Ekadashi of the month of Shravan is called Kamika Ekadashi, and only by listening to it one attains the fruits of Vajpeya Yoga On this day Lord Vishnu with conch shell, chakra, mace is worshiped, whose names are Sridhar, Hari, Vishnu Madhav, Madhusudan. Listen to the fruit that comes from worshiping him.The fruit which one gets by bathing in Ganga Kashi, Naimisharanya and Pushkar, is obtained by worshiping Lord Vishnu. All the deities, Gandharvas and Surya etc. are worshiped by the person who worships the Lord in Shravan, so a person who is afraid of sins should observe the fast of Kamika Ekadashi and worship Lord Vishnu, the person who is trapped in the mud of sin. For this Ekadashi fast and worship of Lord Vishnu is very important.
